Brother Hl 1230 Driver Windows 10

I need help please! I've recently had to buy a new laptop (O/S Windows 7) and now my Brother printer HL-1230 will not work. I have been on the Brother website for an updated driver and there is only an uninstall driver for that model. I contacted Brother help. Tm T88v Driver Windows 10. frankly not a lot of help!and they said to try the driver for HL-1440 which I did and had the same issue. Went back to them again, they suggested installing the Vista driver. Again I downloaded that but could not find the file to install the driver:( Went back to Brother again and was told that they do not support a driver for my printer on Windows 7 (!!) and told me to get one through Windows Update. Well I've tried that too, and still have no joy!
